From the Desk of our CEO

Last month, I wrote about the Boston Marathon tragedy, and STA's fundraising weekend to benefit The One Fund. After donating 10% of our sales during an entire weekend in May, I can proudly say that we raised $17,000 to assist with The One Fund's efforts to help the victims of April's Boston bombing. While our fundraising weekend is over, we continue to keep all of those affected by the marathon tragedy in our thoughts and prayers.

Our fundraising efforts took place in all of our now-41 locations, including our newest store openings. Off the heels of our recent expansion into Fort Lauderdale and South Miami, Florida, as well as our new store in Madison, New Jersey, we are looking to grow even more. I am thrilled to announce that we will be opening our 10th New York City store on First Avenue in the Stuyvesant Town neighborhood. We will also be opening our doors in Evanston, Illinois, making this our third Chicago-area location.

With summer finally here, Second Time Around has decided to also launch new initiatives, helping all of our consignors earn more money than ever. If you are a current consignor, or you know someone who is, now is the time to get in on our Referral Program. For every new consignor that is referred to us by an existing consignor, both clients will receive a $10 credit in their consignment accounts. Refer as many new consignors as you can, there's no limit to how many credits you can earn!

In addition to our Referral Program, if you consign at our Portsmouth, Wellesley, Soho or Armitage Ave (Chicago) stores, you can now earn even more credit when you use your consignment credit for an in-store purchase. Be sure to visit the store, or give them a call to learn more about this exclusive credit bonus offer.

As always, feel free to email me with your thoughts or questions at [email protected].
