STA Consignment Opens Another Chicago Location

The name of the store may be Second Time Around, but the national brand just opened their third location in Chicago.
The Boston-based company chose Southport Ave as the location for the new store, which sells gently-used items from brands like DVF, Marc Jacobs, Free People and Patterson J Kincaid. The first two Chicago locations are in Wicker Park and Lincoln Park, but we think retail-heavy Southport makes a great choice for the brand's third Chicago installment-and the STA team seems to agree.
"We believe Second Time Around meets the lifestyle and fashion needs of the young professionals who see Southport Ave as a shopping destination...We are excited to expand our presence and brand in the Chicago community and look forward to opening more locations throughout Chicagoland in the future," company CEO Bill Soncini said in a press release.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with the company, here's how it works: Clients call the store to schedule an appointment to consign items.Consignors get 40% off the item's resale price, and buyers get goods for 65 to 70% off their retail value.
