Boston's Alternative Source for Designer Clothing
Designer cloths for a lot less money? consignment stores is
your answer.. Consignment stores sell gently worn designer wear
for less. Second Time Around is a consignment store that specializes
in contemporary, high-end designer clothing on Newbury Street
in Boston. The store accepts only current season clothing, no
older than two years, garments must be clean and in near-perfect
condition. Consignors receive fifty percent of the proceeds when
their items sell.
Second Time Around, located at 176 Newbury Street, carries designer clothing
for men and women, shoes, handbags, accessories, and wedding gowns. The store
contains a well-edited collection of apparel in full range of sizes, styles,
and price ranges. The merchandise included a sheer black mesh beaded dress
from Prada, originally prices at $638 and selling for $298. In the men’s
section a plaid single-breasted jacket by Marcus Luffer for Louis Boston
was selling for $186-the original price tags from Louis Boston are marked
at $725. In the back ot the store, the small clearance section contained
a few exceptional bargains: an Armani shirt for $15, Vivian Westwood trousers
for $25, and Fendi pants for $13. Many pieces at Second Time Around have
never been worn and still have the original price Tag.
