The recent Boston Marathon tragedy deeply saddened all of us at Second Time Around. With our headquarters stationed in Boston, and three of our stores located just a block away from the finish line, it was with heavy hearts that we watched the events unfold from that day. However, it was with unyielding optimism that we watched the bravery exhibited during this time, along with the hope that the entire country brought as it rallied around our beloved hometown.
We want to thank all of our loyal customers and consignors and their concern for our company's safety. Thankfully everyone at STA was physically unharmed from the incident, and we have begun to emotionally heal along with the rest of the city. The amount of support that we have seen from all of you for the city of Boston has been incredibly moving. We salute the first responders and the other heroes of this tragedy, who brought all of us together in the spirit of patriotism and mutual respect.
During the weekend of May 17th - 19th, we donated 10% of our sales to The One Fund Boston. This fund is going directly to the victims of the bombing, and we are proud to support its efforts. We know that this fund paired with the emotional support of our nation will help Boston come back even stronger than before.
